FAQ’s and Travel Tips

FAQ’s

  • Nightly prices for each RV are posted on the rigs page. In addition to the nightly rate, there is a $20 a day charge for insurance to cover things such as weather damage.

We also have options that you can choose to add to your rental including delivery and setup of the rig, generator rental, break controller rental, and pet fee (if you choose to bring your furry friend with you). These can be found under the add-on tab when you are requesting a quote.

  • Our standard minimum rental is 3 nights for our smaller travel trailers and 4 nights for our larger rigs. During peak season, RVs tend to book up quickly so consider booking early to get the dates and RV that you prefer.

  • Upon confirmation, a 20% deposit is required to secure the reservation. This deposit will be applied toward your rental charges with an additional 80% due 2 weeks before the rental begins. In addition, a refundable security deposit of $1,000 is required upon departure. The security deposit is released back to the renter the same day the RV has been returned and inspected.

  • Yes. We have generators that you can rent if your destination does not have traditional RV hookups. Our generators are inverter-style generators that are quieter than most for the price of $30/night.

  • We request that you do not use the awning during your trip. The Oklahoma wind is unpredictable and can rip the awning from RV before it can be rolled in. Repairs to the awning are quite expensive.

  • No. In consideration of other renters and to prevent damages to the unit such as staining or burns, we do not allow smoking inside any of our rentals. If detected upon return, a $1,000 cleanup fee will be charged.

  • CAMPING IS FUN! will send the customer an invoice that is paid online. Most credit cards are accepted.

  • All of our Travel Trailer rentals include a weight-distribution hitch with sway control. You need a standard 2in. receiver hitch, 7-pin connector, and brake control. If you do not have a brake control, we have a portable remote brake controller that you can rent.

  • Campground rates vary based on the time of year and what facilities they offer. Generally, you can expect to pay between $10 and $50 per night. Call us for recommendations.

  • A partial list of commonly found facilities would include electric, water, sewer hook-ups, washer, dryer, swimming pool, playground, BBQ pits, and an on-site convenience store.

  • Yes. We request that you not travel on dirt or gravel roads.

  • We do not recommend this. It is difficult to know if the water is potable when you fill the tank at a variety of locations. We recommend you use bottled water for drinking and cooking. The water from the tank is fine for washing and bathing.

  • All you need is to be 25 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license. No special endorsement is needed. All drivers must be present at the time of checkout for orientation.

  • Since rentals are based by the night, you may pick up after 4 p.m. and return by 11 a.m.

  • All rigs come with all your camping essentials.

  • There is an AM/FM stereo with a CD player in most rigs. All units also come equipped with either a smart TV or a DVD player.

  • Yes, pets are allowed. An additional pet fee will need to be added to bring your furry friend along.

  • Please understand that at the time of booking your reservation, that RV immediately becomes unavailable for others. Our standard cancellation policy is as follows: 50% refund up to 14 days before pickup, then no refund after that.

Travel Tips

  • If you are a newbie, take a test drive with an experienced RVer. We will be happy to do this with you during your training and walk-through.

  • Bring basic tools. You never know when a tool kit could come in handy!

  • Reserve your spot and plan for tank dumps. Know if your RV spot has full hookups or if you have to fill fresh water and empty your holding tanks at a remote station.

  • Keep the shades down and doors closed inside of your RV. This can really help on hot summer days, especially if you have no tree cover where you're parked.

  • Some campgrounds are open 24/7, others have quiet hours and actually lock the gates during those hours each night. Know the gate hours and make arrangements ahead of time for late check-in. Try to arrive early enough to set up in daylight... but be prepared if you have to set up in the dark.

  • Propane is important, especially in the winter months. Your rig will come with 2 propane tanks that are in the front of the trailer. Propane is used when you run the heater and use the oven or stovetop. When one tank runs empty you can turn the valve on the tanks to switch to the other available tank.

  • The RV toilet works best when you use a lot of water. You can fill the toilet by pushing the foot pedal down halfway and then when the pedal is pressed to the floor the flap opens to release the content into the tank. Each time the toilet is used, it is recommended that an additional 2 bowls of water be flushed down.

  • The black tank is the tank that the toilet dumps into. This tank is large and is difficult to completely fill, but if you notice that the tank has a slight smell you can empty the tank when you are hooked up to a sewer dump.

  • One of the biggest problems with an RV gas oven is that it will often burn the bottom of whatever you are baking. Placing a pizza stone right into the bottom of the oven, but not directly onto the burner, will prevent this from happening as well as an evening out the temperature.

  • Dumping your grey, black, and freshwater tanks before traveling will reduce your weight considerably. This will make driving and towing easier on the engine and easier on you.
